Members stage approximately 150,000 service projects and raise nearly US$100 million every year for communities, families and projects. The Kiwanis Club of Honeoye Falls-Lima, Mendon recently hosted a food drive at Honeoye Falls Marketplace, and thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to donate 12 large boxes of food and $175 in gift cards to the Friends in Service Here Combined Communities Food Closet, serving Honeoye Falls, Mendon, and West Bloomfield.
These donations help provide food for local families, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities and medical needs, single parents, minimum-wage workers, and others in our community who may be facing difficult times.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped make this food drive a success. Every jar, box, can, gift card, and dollar makes a difference—and together, those small acts of generosity become something much bigger. ❤️
This is what Kiwanis is all about: neighbors helping neighbors, strengthening our communities, and serving those who need us most.

🇺🇸💥 Five Years of Making a Difference — One Cannon Blast at a Time! 💥🇺🇸
For the past five years, members of the Honeoye Falls–Lima–Mendon Kiwanis Club have proudly manned the tent, sold tickets, and helped visitors experience the thrill of firing a Civil War cannon replica as part of Cannons for Kannon at the Lima 4th of July Celebration.
But this event has always been about much more than the sound of the cannon.
Every ticket sold helps raise funds for the new Lima All-Inclusive Playground — a place where every child can play, belong, and be included, regardless of physical ability.
The playground was inspired by Kannon, a young boy from Lima whose physical limitations make traditional playgrounds difficult to enjoy. This new space is being designed so that Kannon and countless other children and families will have a place where barriers are removed, and everyone is welcome.
Watching the smoke roll across the field and hearing the cheers after each firing is exciting. Knowing that those moments are helping build a playground where every child can experience the joy of play is even better.
